Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona

19 year old rising star, Jonny Edgar will compete in his first 24 hour race this month at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona with Sean Creech Motorsport, in the LMP2 class.

After completing a successful test with Sean Creech Motorsport in December, the BRDC Superstars driver will be a part of the team’s 4 driver line-up for the premier American endurance race, competing with João Barbosa, Nolan Siegel and Lance Willsey.

Jonny: “I was impressed with the team and the car at the test last month. If we keep going in the direction we were going at the test, we’ll be in good shape. It seemed to me that technique and feel were quite similar to other cars I’ve driven, but obviously the multi-class aspect as well as the night running are very different from what I’m used to.”

The D.Tolson and Sons backed racer added “I have very experienced teammates and will learn a great deal at the Roar, all the little bits that add up in a 24-hour race. I’ll continue my gym work between now and then but there’s the mental side of endurance racing as well, managing your time out of car, so I’ll focus on that as well.”

“All in all, I’m very excited to be competing in my first 24 hour race and at such an iconic event and track as well.”

The Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona will be broadcast live on the IMSA.TV website and will start at 17:00 UK time on 27/01/2024. The starting grid for the race will be decided one week earlier on 21/01/2024 at the “Roar Before The 24” and will be available to stream live on the IMSA.TV website as well.
