Jonny Edgar to make British GT debut with Garage 59

BRDC Superstars driver and Motorsport UK Academy member, Jonny Edgar is set to make his British GT and GT3 debut at the championships’ season finale at Donington Park this weekend.

The FIA Formula 3 race winner will be driving with Miguel Ramos in the #88 Garage 59 McLaren 720S GT3.

Jonny: “It’s a new challenge, something very different compared to the single seater cars I’ve driven in my career but that’s exciting. I am curious to see what the McLaren will be like to drive and to experience a different racing format in British GT.”

The D.Tolson and Sons driver added “I am very grateful to Garage 59 for this opportunity and I am looking forward to working with Miguel Ramos at Donington.”

Edgar comes into the British GT finale after an impressive end to his 2023 FIA Formula 3 season where the Cumbrian driver secured a stunning victory in the last race of the season at Monza.

The “Donington Decider” will be broadcast live on the official SRO GT World YouTube account at 13:00 on Sunday 22nd October.
