Jonny Edgar confirmed for IMSA and FIA WEC duties in 2025
Reigning European Le Mans Series champion, Jonny Edgar has confirmed he will race in two of the most competitive championships in the world next year – the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship in America and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Jonny’s IMSA campaign will see him race in the endurance cup rounds when he’ll be behind the wheel of the iconic “Spike The Dragon” LMP2 Oreca with the AO Racing squad, alongside PJ Hyett, Dane Cameron and Christian Rasmussen. In the FIA WEC Jonny will be driving one of the two Corvette Z06 GT3.R cars run by TF Sport. The D Tolson and Sons driver will share the #33 entry with Ben Keating and Daniel Juncadella.
Jonny: “I am very grateful for the opportunity to join AO for the endurance rounds of the 2025 IMSA season and to continue driving the Oreca LMP2. I am also excited to become part of TF Sport’s FIA WEC season in the GT3 Corvette. It is a privilege to be a part of both teams, and I am hoping to continue the success I had with AO by TF in the European Le Mans Series. Having teammates with so much experience will be great for me to learn from in both cars, especially at TF Sport when I will embark on my first full time season in a GT3 car. We all have the same goal; to win races and the championships and I can’t wait to get started.”
