ABB FIA Formula e Rookie Test Announcement

19 year old Jonny Edgar will make his first appearance in a Formula e car at the 2023 ABB FIA Formula e Rookie Test at Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport Circuit, following the conclusion of rounds 7 and 8 of the Formula e season. The BRDC Superstar driver is currently competing in the FIA Formula 3 championship with MP Motorsport but is looking forward to the challenge of driving an electric race car for the first time.

Jonny: “I am very excited about this opportunity and I am looking forward to driving an electric single seater – I am curious to see how the car will behave on track. Formula E is a very professional championship that all drivers aim to be a part of and I’m very thankful to Envision for this opportunity. The team has been very welcoming and I look forward to the test in Berlin.”

The Envision Racing team are currently second in the teams’ standings following a hat-trick of podium finishes with Nick Cassidy and a pole position in the first race in Saudi Arabia with Sebastian Buemi. The ABB FIA Formula e Rookie Test will take place on Monday 24th April.
